The Clinton Arrow Podcast—Episode 7

In this seventh episode—the final regular episode of the 2019-2020 school year—we celebrate the great teachers around the Clinton Public School District by sharing how various schools and PTOs made much of the classroom leaders who invest their lives into the children of Clinton, Mississippi.

We also hear from Tamikia Billings, principal of Clinton Junior High School, as she talks about her role. She touches on how teaching 7th and 8th graders is more than merely achieving academic goals. She says that her staff is dedicated to teaching to the whole student, focusing on the academic, emotional and social aspects of their lives.

I spoke to CHS's Biomedical Research class about their relationship with UMMC as well as their end-of-the-year presentations on the complex topic of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Closing out the episode, we hear from former Clinton teacher Mrs. Barbie Ferguson who about the tireless work the 50th Anniversary Committee put in to celebrate Clinton Public School's fiftieth year as a school district. We hear from Dr. Tim Martin on the final two weeks of school.
