Track coach is finalist for National Girls Track Coach of the Year

CLINTON — Johnathan Perkins, head coach for both boys and girls track & field teams at Clinton High School, was recognized this week as one of eight finalists for the 2019 NHSACA Coach of the Year - Track & Field.
In May, Perkins coached the Lady Arrows to their seventh straight MHSAA 6A State Track & Field Championship.
He also coached the Clinton Arrows boys team to a MHSAA 6A State Championship in 2017. The Arrows finished first runner-up in the 2019 MHSAA 6A State Meet.
The National High School Athletic Coaches Association recognized eight Track & Field coaches as finalists for the 54th annual National Coach of the Year Convention this week at the Ramokata Hotel in Bismark, ND.
This year's convention marked the 54th year the NHSACA has recognized a National Coach of the Year. Based out of Fargo, ND, the NHSACA is the oldest coaches association in the nation.
