Sumner Hill plans 2018 Commitment to Graduate ceremony
Sumner Hill Junior High students will be participating in the 2018 Commitment to Graduate Ceremony at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the Sumner Hill Junior High School auditorium.
All parents and guardians are invited to join in the celebration.
Students are encouraged to wear a red shirt and black or khaki pants on this special day. The purpose of this ceremony is to encourage the students to strive to do the best they can in all classes and to graduate with their class in 2022. The guest speaker for the event will be Ted Dibiase, WWE Hall of Fame Professional Wrestler.
For participating in the ceremony, each student will receive a certificate stating that they fully intend to graduate on time from Clinton High School, and that they understand the responsibility and commitment it takes to attend class, complete their work, and participate to the fullest extent in the learning opportunities made available to them in the Clinton Public School District.
Every student in the class of 2022 will sign a banner to signify that they are committing to graduate with their class. This banner will be displayed in the school throughout the year and will follow the class of 2022 to Clinton High School next year to remind them of their commitment to graduate.
Please contact Heather Norton by Friday, Oct. 19, for further questions or if you are planning on attending the ceremony
