CJHS Teacher of the Year

Emma Johnson was selected as the CJHS Teacher of the Year. This is her second year teaching 8th grade math for CJHS. Originally from Chicago, she received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from North Park, and she later earned her Masters in Education from Belhaven. Johnson began her teaching career in Jackson Public School District, where she taught for 10 years. She has taught grades 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8!

She explains that her favorite part of teaching at CJHS is the environment of excellence. Teachers have high expectations, and students are eager to learn. She also says that Clinton has a love and pride for the community.

In her free time, Johnson enjoys swimming, playing baseball with her son, and practicing soccer with her daughter.

Congratulations to Emma Johnson, 2021-2022 CJHS Teacher of the Year.
