Returning Student Registration open for 2022-2023 school year

CPSDMay 20, 2022

Parents and guardians of students returning to the Clinton Public School District must register their student online in order to enroll for classes starting in August.

Parents of all returning students can access registration information through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. There, they can click on the registration link to complete the online registration process.

Items such as parent/guardian contact information as well as medical and other pertinent information will also be collected or updated during the online registration process.

Proof of Residency Required for 2022-2023

Parents and guardians must prove residency prior to the start of the 2022-2023 school year.

CPSD will hold a proof of residency event on July 20-22 and July 25-26 in the Northside/Eastside Cafeteria where parents can bring the appropriate documents needed to prove residency. The event will be open from 7:00am to 6:00pm each day.

Acceptable residency documentation includes a lease, deed or mortgage statement in the parent’s or guardian’s name plus a current water bill, power bill or gas bill in the parent’s or guardian’s name dated within the last three months.

Returning students whose parent or guardian has not completed the online enrollment process and who have not proven residency by July 26 will not be able to receive their class assignment or schedule on Meet the Teacher Day in August.

Parents or guardians of returning students, along with their student, who have not registered or proven residency by July 26 will need to report to the CPSD Central Office on the first day of school, Monday, August 8, 2022, to prove residency and ensure the enrollment process is complete. Upon completion, students will be assigned a teacher and issued a schedule.

Anyone needing to prove residency through affidavit will be able to do so at Central Office on July 28 and 29. More information on affidavit verification will be released later in the summer.

All other questions concerning registration at their student’s school, they are encouraged to contact their student’s principal.
