CPSD to operate the Summer Food Service Program this summer

BreakfastClinton Public School District (CPSD) announces that it will operate the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) as a closed-site at select locations to include: Clinton Park, Northside, Eastside, and Lovett Elementary Schools. This program will provide a complete, wholesome breakfast to CPSD, in-person students enrolled in summer school during June 7, 2021 – July 16, 2021 at absolutely no charge – IT’S FREE!

The SFSP is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Mississippi Department of Education – Office of Child Nutrition.

As a result of many child nutrition nation-wide waivers being recently passed, all schools (regardless of location) may continue to serve free meals to all students throughout SY 2021-2022. Christell Hicks, CPSD Child Nutrition Director says, “The passing of this legislation helps streamline access for kids to receive quality school meals as well as enhance program flexibility and balance operational needs.”

Meals are provided to eligible children regardless of race, color, national origin, age, gender or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of meal service. Listed below is the breakfast meal service schedule.
