Six CHS students to be published in Mississippi Writes 2021 Book
Six students in Dr. Cordelia Godfrey’s Creative Writing class at Clinton High School have been selected to have their works published in the Mississippi Writes 2021 Book.
These students were selected as six of 75 students to be published in the book out of 200 entries submitted.
Students submitted an original response to the prompt, “What Are You Afraid Of?” or “What makes you brave?” in response to the events of 2020 and 2021.
The Mississippi Writes Book is published by Write for Mississippi. Dr. Godfrey’s creative writing students have participated in the free program for the past three years, connecting with award winning local writers where students converse with authors about the writing process and the publishing process.
Clinton students visited with guest writer and former Clinton High School student Andrew Paul during their composition and editing process.
