GALLERY: Roy Burkett Field Commemoration
Alumni and Arrow Fans gathered on April 16 to commemorate Roy Burkett Field, the long time home of Clinton Football, Soccer and Track & Field.
Led by long time Arrow supporter and alum Nash Nunnery, the event featured words from Dr. Virgul Belue, Coach Burkett's son Bob Burkett and assistant superintendent Mr. Anthony Goins.
Those in attendance also heard from the Clinton Arrow Marching Band and the CHS Cheerleaders.

Alan Hawkins (center), who scored the first touchdown on Roy Burkett Field as a junior on Sept. 25, 1970,
after a punt was blocked by Michael Jefcoat, was present at the commemoration.
Pitt Farrar, who served as the Director of Facilities and Maintenance, was in charge of the construction of Roy Burkett Field.
Dr. Virgil Belue led those gathered in an Arrow cheer.
Bob Burkett, CHS alum and son of Coach Roy Burkett, addressed those in attendance.
