Sumner Hill Art Club conducts Paper Making Project
The Art Club at Sumner Hill Junior High School recently embarked on a paper making project, utilizing ancient forms of paper making to create art.
Under the direction of Art teacher Rebecca Lancaster and student teacher Cheyenne Pilkington, the partical paper making workshop allowed students to use their creativity to make paper projects.
Students blended cotton linter, banana leaf paper and recycled pulp before dying it and shaping it in unique molds. They completed their projects by decorating them with flower petals, beads and other materials.
Student participants were Koryanna Brown, Holly Frasier, Charity Donald, Taniya Arseno and Grace Lancaster.
