CHS boasts three National Merit Finalists
All three of Clinton High School's National Merit Semifinalists have been named National Merit Finalists in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Clinton seniors Taylor May, Caleb Miller and Kylie Price are Clinton’s three National Merit Finalists.
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,000 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30million that will be offered in the spring.
To be considered for a National Merit Scholarship award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.
Over 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and more than half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title.
“We are exceptionally proud of these students,” Clinton High School Principal Brett Robinson said. “Their hard work in the classroom has certainly paid off so far, and we are excited about their participation in the National Merit Scholarship Program.”
