Lovett Principal named to MDE Inaugural State Superintendent's Principal Advisory Council
Lovett principal Dr. Michael Pope has been named to the Mississippi Department of Education Inaugural State Superintendent's Principal Advisory Council.
Dr. Pope is one of 29 principals from around the state to be named to the PAC and said he is proud to represent the teachers and administrators of the Clinton Public School District on the council.
"Public education in Mississippi has seen great gains over the last few years," Dr. Pope said, "and I hope to effectively share our concerns and issues with Dr. Carey Wright and help to improve our state's thriving public education system."
Dr. Pope will assist in providing feedback on the initiatives of the Mississippi Department of Education and the Mississippi State Board of Education.
Dr. Pope is a graduate of Clinton High School, earning his Bachelor's in Education from Delta State. He received his Master's and Specialist degrees in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. He also earned a Doctor of Educational Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction from Mississippi College.
