Clinton Public School District announces registration for summer online classes
The Clinton Public School District is now accepting applications for students grade 9-12 to sign up for summer online classes.
These classes allow for students at Sumner Hill and Clinton High School to free up their schedules in order to participate in many of the activities offered by the Clinton Public School District.
In a letter to parents, Mr. Anthony Goins, district Assistant Superintendent, detailed requirements for credit to be received.
Online classes offered are as follows:
- 9th grade – Health and World Geography (Take both because each one is half a Carnegie credit)
- 10th grade – World History
- 11th grade – Earth Science or Physical Science (Choose one)
- 12th grade – U.S. Government and Economics (Take both because each one is half a Carnegie credit)
Parents are to register their student by Monday, June 1. Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8.
A $25 registration fee is required in order to secure a spot in the desired courses, but students will not be required to physically attend any classes. All course work must be completed by July 16, 2020.
For any questions, parents are asked to email Summer Online Coordinator Angel Olinger at [email protected] or Mr. Goins at [email protected].
