Lovett Elementary mother Julie Wardlaw wins CPSD Parent of the Year

Julie Wardlaw wins 2020 Parent of the Year

CLINTON — With three children in Clinton Public Schools, Julie Wardlaw takes advantage of the opportunities to serve. This devotion is part of the reason she has been awarded Clinton’s Parent of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year.

Superintendent Dr. Tim Martin and Assistant Superintendent Anthony Goins joined Lovett’s Principal Dr. Mike Pope in presenting the award to Wardlaw at Lovett.

“Mrs. Wardlaw is a person who embodies what it means to be a dedicated parent in Clinton Public Schools,” Dr. Pope said. “She is supportive of our staff and donates her time and effort in supporting us in anything we need. We are fortunate to have her as a parent in the Clinton Public School District.”

As CPSD’s Parent of the Year, she will go on to represent Clinton in the Mississippi Parent of the Year program hosted by the Mississippi Department of Education later this spring.
