Chamber of Commerce Awards
The Clinton Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet this week, celebrating the work of the Chamber for 2019, outlining its focus for 2020 and honoring outstanding businesses and individuals in Clinton.
Among this year's honorees were Dr. Virgil Belue, CPSD's first superintendent, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Presenting his award are Barbie Ferguson, chairwoman of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Committee, and Dr. Tim Martin, current CPSD superintendent. This is not an award the Chamber gives very often, and is only given to Clintonians who have a lifelong body of work that has left a lasting legacy on the community.
Other honorees include (below, from left) 2019 Chamber President Tim Bruss; Large Business of the Year Tim Parkman, Inc.; Belue; Distinguished Service Award winner Sandi Beason; Small Business of the Year Arrow Nutrition owners Harold and Teresa Parks; and Outstanding Citizen of the Year (and retired CJHS counselor) Wayne Richey.
