CLINTON — The Clinton Public School District is seeking business partners for the annual Teacher Incentive Package program.
In this program, businesses are asked to offer across-the-board discounts or one-time promotions for Clinton educators.
“In years past we asked local businesses to print flyers that were assembled into bags to give our teachers when they return in August,” said Sandi Beason, Public Information Officer and program organizer. “Now this program is paperless and flyers will be emailed directly to teachers.”
CPSD uses a service called PeachJar to send out electronic flyers to parents and employees. PeachJar is used during the school year to replace paper flyers that traditionally went home in backpacks. PeachJar is used for the Teacher Incentive Package as part of the district’s larger goal of going paperless.
There is no fee to participate. The only requirement is that flyers be submitted by the July 26 deadline.
“Teachers really appreciate the support from local businesses,” Beason said. “We get great feedback every year from educators as well as participating businesses.”
All partnering businesses will receive social media recognition as well as a sign suitable for framing to or posting online stating that they support Clinton teachers.
