CHS, CJHS hire new assistant principals

CLINTON — This fall there will be new assistant principals at Clinton High School and Clinton Junior High.
Cody Zumbro will be an assistant principal at Clinton Junior High. Zumbro is a former teacher and coach at Clinton High School, a former teacher at Clinton Junior High and is currently the interim principal at Ridgeland High School. He replaces Tamikia Billings, who is moving into the head principal role at Clinton Junior High.
“I am thrilled to have an opportunity to be part of the Clinton Public School District,” Zumbro said. “Clinton truly is a special place to live and work.”
Zumbro holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. He has been an educator for 18 years.
Matthew Fulton will be an assistant principal at Clinton High School. A Clinton native, Fulton graduated from CHS in 2003 and is currently teaching and coaching there.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity and I’m ready to work,” he said.
Fulton holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Southern Mississippi, a master’s degree in history and political science from Mississippi College and a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. He plans this fall to begin working toward a doctorate degree.
He replaces Charles King, who will be the new principal at Clinton Alternative School.
“We’re blessed to have strong leadership in all our schools and we’re looking forward to working with Mr. Zumbro and Mr. Fulton in their new roles,” said Dr. Tim Martin, Superintendent of Schools.
