CLINTON — Clinton High School teacher Robert Chapman wears a lot of hats.
Chapman oversees sports information for the Clinton Public School District, and works with his students to provide live stream video of games and activities.
“Mr. Chapman always goes above and beyond to make my son feel important,” said parent Venetia Miller. “He teaches my son all about live streaming in a way that promotes my son’s professional development and enjoyment.”
Chapman is the recipient of the Clinton Public School District’s Dedication of Our Valued Employees, or DOVE, customer service award for the month of December. He will be recognized at the school board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Central Office.
As a DOVE Award winner, Chapman will receive gift cards from Cock-of-the-Walk restaurant, Playtime Entertainment and Chick-fil-A of Clinton.
“Mr. Chapman always encourages my son to exercise his technological skill by providing him opportunities to assist with filming and live streaming of school activities,” Miller said. “Not only does he encourage my son in extracurricular interest of media and technology, but he supports my son’s academic progress as well.”
The DOVE Award is given each month during the school year to an employee who demonstrates excellence in customer service with students, parents and the community. A five-member DOVE award selection committee chooses each winner from a pool of nominations.
Anyone can nominate a CPSD employee via the online form on www.clintonpublicschools.com. DOVE Award recipients will be formally recognized at school board meetings, on district announcements and in The Clinton Courier.
