Law & Public Safety I

This course introduces students to professions in law enforcement & the military. Students will learn the roles & responsibilities of police, courts & the military. The course provides students with an overview of the history, organization, and functions of local, state, and federal 34 of 41 law enforcement. In addition, students will learn terminology and the investigative procedures related to a criminal investigation, crime scene processing, evidence collection & fingerprinting. Students will demonstrate the basic process to collect and analyze evidence such as fingerprint analysis, bodily fluids, hairs, fibers, firearms and ammunition, and other types of evidence.
