Information Technology

Information Technology I students will receive the skills necessary to prepare for the Test-Out IT Fundamentals Pro Certification. First year students are introduced to computer hardware basics, compatibility issues, common errors associated with hardware, software instillation & functions, security risks & preventions, Green IT, and preventative maintenance for computers. Students will also learn programming in the second semester after completion of certification exam. Students may be required to submit an application if enrollment numbers are excessive.

Information Technology II students will receive the skills necessary to prepare for the Test-Out Networking Pro Certification exam. Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of networking, networking operating systems, networking types, standards and how data is encoded and transmitted.
