Three administrators with the Clinton Public School District were recognized by the Mississippi Association of Colleges for Teacher Education during the annual MACTE Awards Luncheon on Friday, June 13 in Meridian, Mississippi.

Each year, colleges and universities across the state choose to recognize current graduates of educational programs and alumni who exemplify excellence in the field of education. 

Clinton Park Elementary School principal Kelli Pope received Mississippi College’s 2025 Outstanding Administrator Award.

Sumner Hill principal Dr. Matt Fulton received Belhaven’s Most Outstanding Graduate in Educational Leadership Award.

Clinton Public School District’s Superintendent Dr. Andy Schoggin received  William Carey University’s Outstanding Administrator Award.

MACTE is a statewide organization affiliated with the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. Its members include the departments and schools of Mississippi’s regionally accredited colleges and universities engaged in preparing professional school personnel. 

As a consortium of teacher education schools, MACTE is vitally interested in supporting and enhancing all aspects of education in Mississippi. Its members work cooperatively within the organization and with the Mississippi Department of Education and other statewide education groups.
