Clinton High School’s graduating class of 2026 closed out their senior year under the lights of Arrow Field.
This year’s senior class of 418 saw 96 seniors accept scholarships to 32 different colleges and universities, with a total of $4.9 million in scholarships awarded to the class of 2026.
Owen Coker served as this year’s Valedictorian and Sofia McRae as Salutatorian.
Others listed in the academic top ten were, in ascending order, Riley Parham, Shruti Singh, Clara McCombs, Haddie Heindl, Kyla Weathersby, Manas Guduru, Hannah Webb and Lauren Kimbrell.
With the weather cooperating perfectly on a Friday night, the CHS Class of 2026 celebrated together to close out their time as high school students.
CHS Class of 2026 by the numbers:
- 32 seniors scored 30 or higher on the ACT
- 1 senior was named National Merit Finalist
- 21 seniors were members of the Phi Theta Kappa, Beta Psi Upsilon chapter
- 2 seniors were named STAR Students
- 99 seniors were members of the National Honor Society
- 119 seniors earned the President’s Award for Educational Excellence
- 29 student athletes signed letters of intent to 15 different schools
- 7 seniors earned fine arts scholarships to 6 different schools
