Clinton Public School District

With the August release of the MAAP student performance data from the Mississippi Department of Education, teachers and students at Clinton Junior High School found themselves at the top of both mathematics and English Language Arts rankings.
“We are excited to celebrate our students' impressive performance on the MAAP,” CJHS principal Dr. Ivory Gray said. “Their exceptional achievements are a reflection of their hard work and dedication, as well as the outstanding support provided by our dedicated staff and previous principal Ms. Timikia Billings.”
Eighth grade scores ranked CJHS second in the state for mathematics and ninth in the state for ELA.
Seventh grade scores ranked CJHS third in the state for ELA and 4th in the state for mathematics.
“These results showcase our collective commitment to academic excellence and motivate us to keep pushing toward even greater success,” Dr. Gray added.
