Clinton High School inducted its first 42 students into the newly created Beta Psi Upsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
Instruction will resume on Monday, February 22 at all campuses in the Clinton Public School District. All district offices and campuses will open at normal operating times.
The Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Andy Schoggin to serve as the sixth Superintendent of the Clinton Public School District, replacing Dr. Tim Martin who, in December, announced his retirement at the conclusion of the school year.
During the February school board meeting, the Clinton Public School District’s Board of Trustees accepted a recommendation from Dr. Tim Martin to have David and Mary Fehr resume direction of Clinton’s Attaché Show Choir.
All three of Clinton High School's naitonal Merit Semifinalists have been named as National Merit Finalists in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Clinton seniors Taylor May, Caleb Miller and Kylie Price are Clinton’s three National Merit Finalists.
The Clinton Public School District is blessed to have 12 school counselors who serve the schools and community with selflessness.
Clinton Arrow Theatre recently participated in the Mississippi Theatre Association’s Virtual 2021 Theatre Festival on January 15-16, 2021. The broadcast was run through The University Television Center at Mississippi State University and streamed though ShowTix4U. This year’s festival included over 365 people representing three community theatres, fifteen high schools, and eleven colleges and universities.
Students in Lovett Elementary School's ACCENT class held a mock trial as part of their Forensics unit. Students performed each role found in a courtroom setting, from judge to jury. Virtual students were not left out, playing the roles of baliff and participating in the jury.
