    Letter from the Superintendent

Dr. Tim Martin The Board of Trustees and the administration of the Clinton Public School District are committed to doing everything possible to return to school while also keeping faculty, staff, and students safe.

As COVID-19 continues to influence the status of the 2020-2021 school term, our schools will work together to leverage available resources and share best practices, while making decisions that are in the best interests of our students and their families.

The Mississippi Department of Education released Considerations for Reopening Mississippi’s Schools. This statewide document outlines three options for reopening schools: traditional, hybrid, and virtual. CPSD will utilize all three options in moving to reopen schools this fall.

The CPSD Board of Trustees adopted a policy on July 14, 2020, that outlines the priorities under which schools will be open. Those guidelines and regulations are included in this document. It is necessary to keep in mind that all guidelines and regulations are temporary and subject to change as guidance from local and state health authorities is updated.

    Regards,
    Tim L. Martin, Ed.D.
    Superintendent of Schools
