Students Zamarian Fanroy, Aaron Hickman and Jonathan Murphy from Sumner Hill Junior High School, coached by Brad Pope, were named Region 3 1st place winners in the fall 2021 High School Division of the Mississippi Stock Market Game.
The Clinton Public School District Board of Trustees recognized the Rising Arrows for the 2nd Nine Weeks as well as the Teachers of the Year during the board meeting on January 11.

Clinton Public School District’s Teacher of the Year Meredith Jierski has made it a mission to install a love of learning into her students. “My goal is for my students to love learning and to never stop learning,” Jierski said. “I don’t want school to be a daunting burden for them. I want them to be excited to come to school each and every day.”
According to the new guidelines, any student or employee who tests positive will be required to isolate for at least five days, regardless of vaccination status. If the individual that tested positive has been free from fever and all other COVID-19 symptoms for five days, that individual may return to the school setting. Dr. Schoggin said the district will continue the same layered approaches towards health and wellness with which the district closed out the fall semester.
