Excellence in both academics and behavior is always encouraged at Lovett.
Students are recognized in many different ways.

YES Parties - Twice a year the PTA sponsors a YES (Youth Excelling at School) party. These parties are given for students with no more than one demerit. Refreshments, music, and items donated from local merchants are given away.

At the end of the school year, a spring awards' program is held.
The following awards are given:

Delphi Packard Award - Sponsored by one of our school adopter, this award is given to the student from each hall with the top academic performance in all subject areas.

Karen Louise Mumbower Award - This award is given in memory of a gracious Lovett faculty member who courageously fought but lost a battle with multiple sclerosis. Her gift to us was that of a servant's spirit and we strive each day to honor that legacy. The award honors a unique student from each hall who has consistently displayed compassion and respect for others.

Faye Beall Award - This award is in memory of a dedicated sixth grade teacher who courageously fought but lost a battle with cancer. The award honors a student from each hall that has best displayed exceptional citizenship throughout the year.

Outstanding Subject Area Awards - Given for outstanding performance in each subject area by halls, as well as for each of the exploratory classes.

All A's - A trophy is presented to all students maintaining all A's throughout the year.

All A's and B's - A certificate is presented by their teachers to all students maintaining A's and B's throughout the year.

Perfect Attendance - A certificate is given to students that have not missed a day of school during the current academic year. Students are also recognized for perfect attendance throughout their entire school years.

Top Accelerated Reader - Given to the student who has earned the most points in the AR program.
