THE SCHOOL
Clinton High School is fully
accredited by the Mississippi State Board of Education and the Southern
Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
The school year is comprised of 180 days. Classes meet 5 days a week for 50 minutes
each. One-semester classes meet for 18
weeks; two-semester classes meet for 36 weeks.
The number of high school units required for graduation is 22 credits.
Located on 75 acres off
Pinehaven Drive in north Clinton, the Arrow Drive complex opened in the fall of
1996. Included is a 160,000 square foot
building, which houses 42 classrooms, 3 science labs, 4 computer classrooms, an
auditorium, a music suite, a library, and a gymnasium. Parking for 700, a weight room, band and
football practice fields, and a baseball field are complete. In 2004, a school bond issue was passed by an
overwhelming margin and as a result a new multi-purpose athletic complex is now
underway.
