April 15, 2008

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:

The fire marshal of the city of Clinton has informed Mississippi College that the seating capacity of the A. E. Wood Coliseum cannot be exceeded.  Therefore, in compliance with the city fire code and for the assured continued use of these facilities, it will be necessary to issue tickets to graduation.

Enclosed in this envelope are the ten tickets issued to each graduating senior of the class of 2008.  Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.  These are not reserved tickets but will be needed for admission.  Each person, babies and children included, will need to present a ticket at the door.

Please return any extra tickets you do not need to the principal’s office by Thursday, April 17.   Information concerning requests for additional tickets is included in this envelope.

Parents and relatives are honored guests and should be able to enjoy this special occasion.  Because graduation is a dignified, formal event, we are asking all guests to withhold celebration of the graduates until the ceremony is concluded.

The doors open at 6:15 p.m. on the night of graduation.  We are requesting that guests be seated by 7:20.  REMEMBER--these tickets are not reserved seats, but they do assure guests of a seat.  Saving seats for those arriving late will not be permitted.

We appreciate your support in helping us cooperate with Mississippi College.

Sincerely,

James Reeves

Principal
