ARTICLE WITH SCORING FINISHERS LISTED

The Clinton Arrow Swim Team got their 2007 season off to a good start Saturday in the Brandon Invitational Swim Meet in Jackson at the Lakeland Courthouse. Competing against seven other teams, the Arrow men finished third over all with Ben Vaughan, a freshman, placing first in the 200 Yard Individual Medley and the 500 Yard Free with times of 2:08.09 and 4:58.52, respectively. The Arrow women finished fifth overall with Monique Ma, an eighth grader, placing first in the 100 yard Breast Event with a time of 1:16.59. The Arrow Team travels to Vicksburg on September 15 to participate in the St. Aloysius Meet at the Vicksburg City Pool.

Those students scoring points in events are as follows:

Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle – Rachael Vaughan placed fifth with a time of 2:21.31 with Conner Rouch finished sevenths with a time of 2:22.70.

Men’s 200 Yard Freestyle – Cody Moore and Trey Wells finished third and fifth, respectively with times of 2:20.67 and 2:21.23.

Women’s 200 Yard IM – Monique Ma placed third with a time of 2:29.53.

Men’s 200 Yard IM – Ben Vaughan finished first with a time of 2:08.09. Connor McClendon finished fourth with a time of 2:37.31.

Women’s 50 Yard Free – With a time of 33.08, Taylor Rae Johns finished twelfth.

Women 100 Yard Butterfly – Lisa Spencer finished seventh with a time of 1:29.45.

Men 100 Yard Butterfly – With a time of 1:10.04, Trey Wells finished fourth. Connor McClendon placed sixth with a time of 1:14.58.

Women’s 100 Yard Freestyle – Connor Rouch finished eighth with a time of 1:05.77

In the Women’s 500 Yard Freestyle, Rachael Vaughan finished fifth with a time of 6:19.91.

Claire Harris finished ninth in the Women’s 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:21.09.

In the Men’s 100 Yard Back, Cody Moore finished sixth with a time of 1:15.02.

Garrett DeYoung finished twelfth with a time of 1:33.97 in the Men’s 100 Yard Breast.
