  •  Attention Parents Who Pick Up Their Child After School.
Please do not pull into the Lovett driveway until 3:30 p.m. to pick up your child after school. This will allow the first two groups of busses to come through and allow us to get the car riding students out on the porch. Please do not pull around other parents who are waiting in line. The first car in line will pull in at 3:30 or as directed by staff. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Our school is a National Blue
    Ribbon School! The award was
    announced in September by
    U.S. Secretary of Education
Arne Duncan. Lovett is one of
    only four Mississippi schools
    (and only the second Clinton
    school in the award’s history)
    to receive a Blue Ribbon.
    Founded in 1982, the National
    Blue Ribbon Schools program
    recognizes elementary, middle
    and high schools where
    students perform at very high
    levels or where significant
    improvements are being
    made in students’ academic
    achievement.
    Lovett Elementary has a high
    level of parental involvement
with an active PTO board and
    membership. It has three local
    businesses serving as “school
    adopters” and a number of
    churches, civic groups and
    organizations providing
    volunteer support.
    Despite the recent hailstorm,
    cleanup and relocation,
    data released by the
    Mississippi Department of
    Education show that CPSD
    sixth-graders outscored sixth-graders
    in all other school
    districts in both language
arts AND math. Lovett is an
    A school, the highest
    possible academic rating a
    Mississippi public school can
    attain.
    According to the U.S.
    Department of Education
    Web site: “A National Blue
    Ribbon Schools flag
    overhead has become a
    mark of excellence in
    education recognized by
    everyone from parents to
    policy-makers in thousands
    of communities.”
    Congratulations to Mr. Pope,
    all the faculty, staff and
    students at Lovett for this
    award!

  • The Reading Renaissance web site has changed. CPSD has upgraded our Reading Renaissance program and we are now a District Hosted Site. Students at Lovett will be bringing home a parent information sheet that will give parents the new web address along with their student's new user name and password. Parents can use the Renaissance Home Connect Site to monitor their child's progress in A.R.
